| St. John's has long been recognised for its great historic, architectural and cultural significance. While the building is well maintained, time has taken its toll and major restoration work is needed.
Unless this restoration begins in the immediate future the onset of more rapid deterioration will result in escalating costs and put at risk this treasured cultural spiritual icon.
The funds raised will be used for stonework restoration, extensive roof work, conservation of joinery and stained glass windows, solving damp problems, rewiring, lighting and repairs to the bells.
